Mr. Nanayakkara
15 years teaching history in Colombo
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Colombo Boys' School
- Since 1997
- English
For 29 years I have been the history teacher at Colombo Boys' School. I teach Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,070 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mr. Nanayakkara
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Mr. Nanayakkara: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me history in 2006 at Colombo Boys' School. I still remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.
