Mr. Demir
Taught religious studies at Harbor Academy
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
- Harbor Academy
- 2001 to 2018
- English, Turkish
Harbor Academy was my second home. I taught religious studies there from 2001 to 2018, mostly mixed-ability classes.
Outside the classroom I sing in a choir. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Demir
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Demir: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
