Youth basketball coach and mentor

- Fukuoka Lakeview Swimming Club
- 1999 to 2018

For 19 years I ran the basketball program at Fukuoka Lakeview Swimming Club in Fukuoka. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Misaki: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
