Michael Powers
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Houston, Texas, United States
- Houston Trades Guild
- 1984 to 1992
- English
I've worked in blacksmithing from 1984 to 1992. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 180 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 19 years later for another job.
More about Michael
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Michael: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
