Mercy Uche Akinwale
Painter, potter and teacher at Bonny Print Workshop
- 🇳🇬 Bonny, Rivers, Nigeria
- Since 1983
- English, Igbo
I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes graphic design. My first show was in 1983 at Bonny Print Workshop, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Bonny Print Workshop, which keeps me honest.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
