Mathieu Rémi Benoit

Cycling and fitness coach, Saint-Étienne

🇫🇷 Saint-Étienne, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France
Saint-Étienne Orchid Athletic Club
1982 to 1996
English, French

I coached cycling at Saint-Étienne Orchid Athletic Club from 1982 to 1996. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Mathieu: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
