For 40 years I've run the football program at Ashford Community Club in Quezon City. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I watch every football match going.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Marites
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Marites: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
