For 44 years I've run the boxing program at Cebu City Andes Community Club in Cebu City. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Maricel
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Maricel: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
