Marcos Santana

First-generation students mentor, Pelotas

For 16 years I've mentored people in first-generation students and engineering. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening. I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I garden badly but happily.

What gifts mean to Marcos: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
