Maina Kimani Karanja
Printmaking artist in Kisumu
- 🇰🇪 Kisumu, Kisumu, Kenya
- Kisumu Studio
- 2002 to 2012
- English
I work mostly in printmaking, sometimes sculpture. My first show was in 2002 at Kisumu Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I take the work seriously, though not myself. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
More about Maina
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
Mediums
What gifts mean to Maina: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
