Madeline R. Turner

Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices

  • 🇺🇸 Columbia, Missouri, United States
  • Since 1983
  • English
My trade is thatching. I opened my own shop in 1983 in Columbia and I'm still there most mornings. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
What gifts mean to Madeline: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
