For 45 years I've run the tennis program at Newcastle Swimming Club in Newcastle. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
