Lydia Ortega
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Fort Collins, Colorado, United States
- Little St. Anne's Trades Guild
- 1978 to 2009
- English
I'm a blacksmithing specialist. If you live around Fort Collins, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
More about Lydia
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Lydia: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
