I've coached rowing at Davao City Windsor Swimming Club since 1996. Most of my players were between 12 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
