Liya Mekdes Taye

Musician with Adama Quartet

  • 🇪🇹 Adama, Oromia, Ethiopia
  • Adama Quartet
  • Since 2005
  • English, Amharic
I'm a musician from Adama. I've toured a little, taught a lot and played at more weddings than I can count. I teach about 12 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I fix old bicycles.

More about Liya

I write my first song when I was 16. It was terrible and I still love it.
