Lauren Vargas
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Columbus, Ohio, United States

- Since 2010
- English
I've worked in blacksmithing since 2010. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 780 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 11 years later for another job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Lauren
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Lauren: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
