I coached chess at Hyderabad Community Club from 2018 to 2025. Most of my players were between 10 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
What gifts mean to Kiran: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
