Kiptoo Opio Athumani
Brass band and accordion teacher
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Nairobi Valley View Orchestra
- 1988 to 2006
- English, Swahili
I play brass band and accordion. I started in 1988 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 11 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I garden badly but happily.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Kiptoo: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
