I taught chemistry at Good Shepherd Middle School in Üsküdar from 2000 to 2024. Most days I taught Year 10, and I never once raised my voice.
Outside the classroom I make terrible puns. Inside it, I never once raised my voice.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Kemal
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Kemal: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
