Kartika Putra
Tabla and bass teacher
- 🇮🇩 Bandung, West Java, Indonesia
- Bandung Quartet
- 1983 to 2009
- English, Indonesian
I play tabla and bass. I started in 1983 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 12 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I sing in a choir.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Kartika
I wrote my first song when I was 22. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Kartika: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
