Juma Maina Karanja
Self-taught sculpture artist
- 🇰🇪 Mombasa, Mombasa, Kenya
- Old Mombasa Gallery
- 2008 to 2020

I work mostly in sculpture, sometimes ceramics. My first show was in 2008 at Old Mombasa Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Old Mombasa Gallery, which keeps me honest.
More about Juma
I've had 10 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Juma: Any gift helps me keep the free Saturday class running.
