Julian E. Torres
Youth swimming coach and mentor
- 🇬🇧 Manchester, England, United Kingdom
- 2009 to 2017
- English
I coached swimming at Manchester Youth Club from 2009 to 2017. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Julian
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Julian: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
