Joseph Simiyu Barasa

Hockey and fitness coach, Dar es Salaam

  • 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Gateway Youth Club
  • Since 1988
  • English
I'm a hockey coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 1,600 kids fall in love with the game. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.

More about Joseph

If you played for me, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.

What gifts mean to Joseph: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
