Joseph Rashidi Okello
Ceramics and jewelry artist
- 🇺🇬 Fort Portal, Western Region, Uganda
- Highland Studio
- 1995 to 2009
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in ceramics, sometimes jewelry. My first show was in 1995 at Highland Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Highland Studio, which keeps me honest.
More about Joseph
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
Mediums
What gifts mean to Joseph: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
