I coached swimming at Holy Cross Youth Club from 1994 to 2018. Most of my players were between 12 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Johan
If you played for me, you probably remember the long bus ride home.
What gifts mean to Johan: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
