I've spent 21 years as a lecturer in philosophy at Central College in Amsterdam. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a clerk and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Jesse
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Jesse: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
