I've coached cricket at Dehiwala Community Club since 2018. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Jayanthi
If you played for me, you probably remember the long bus ride home.
What gifts mean to Jayanthi: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
