I coached cross country at Rosewood Sports Club from 1979 to 1995. Most of my players were between 11 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
More about Javeria
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
