Janet Esther Opio
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Kasarani Workshop
- Since 2011
- English
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 2011 in Kasarani and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 11 years later for another job.
More about Janet
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Janet: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
