Isla Bates

Youth martial arts coach and mentor

  • 🇦🇺 Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia
  • Newcastle Ashford Football Club
  • 1995 to 2013
  • English
I coached martial arts at Newcastle Ashford Football Club from 1995 to 2013. Most of my players were between 9 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.

More about Isla

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
