I coached rugby at San Francisco Swimming Club from 1989 to 2012. Most of my players were between 9 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Isla
If you played for me, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
What gifts mean to Isla: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
