Isaiah Owens
Coached chess for 43 years in Leeds
- 🇬🇧 Leeds, England, United Kingdom
- Hope Boxing Gym
- Since 1983
- English, French
I've coached chess at Hope Boxing Gym since 1983. Most of my players were between 11 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I run most mornings.
More about Isaiah
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
