Irene Rose Mwakyusa
Self-taught graphic design artist
- 🇺🇬 Jinja, Eastern Region, Uganda
- The Orchid Studio
- Since 1994
- English
I work mostly in graphic design, sometimes textiles. My first show was in 1994 at The Orchid Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by markets and street scenes. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Irene: A gift would go toward materials for my next series.
