Hesti Tika Pratama
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
- Old Jakarta Trades Guild
- 2007 to 2023
- English, Indonesian
I've worked in painting and decorating from 2007 to 2023. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 660 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Hesti
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Hesti: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
