Hellen Dorcas Wafula
Master of tiling, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Kakamega, Kakamega, Kenya
- Valley View Trades Guild
- 2008 to 2021
- English, Swahili
I've worked in tiling from 2008 to 2021. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 250 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I walk the dog by the river.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Hellen: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
