Hellen Atieno Musyoka
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Kasarani Repairs
- Since 1988
- English
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 1988 in Kasarani and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Hellen: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
