Hazel T. Uy
Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices
- 🇵🇭 Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines
- 2013 to 2024
- English, Filipino
I've worked in weaving from 2013 to 2024. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 650 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.

What gifts mean to Hazel: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

You fixed our roof in 2014 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Edinburgh.
