Romeo K. Dizon
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇵🇭 Mandaue, Cebu, Philippines
- 1981 to 2006
- English, Filipino, Spanish
I've worked in thatching from 1981 to 2006. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 830 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Romeo: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

You fixed our roof in 2000 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Saint-Denis.
