Hasitha Jayawardena
Self-taught ceramics artist
- 🇱🇰 Dehiwala, Western, Sri Lanka
- Little Highland Pottery
- Since 1982
- English, Sinhala
I work mostly in ceramics, sometimes graphic design. My first show was in 1982 at Little Highland Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by my grandmother's kitchen. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Hasitha
I've had 13 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
