Gayan Indika Silva
Sculpture and textiles artist
- 🇱🇰 Kandy, Central, Sri Lanka
- The Kandy Studio
- 2000 to 2014
- English, Sinhala
I work mostly in sculpture, sometimes textiles. My first show was in 2000 at The Kandy Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the changing seasons. I make terrible puns.
More about Gayan
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
Mediums
What gifts mean to Gayan: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
