I coached basketball at Prayagraj Lakeview Sports Club from 2005 to 2020. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
