Hamisi Kiprop Mrema
Self-taught calligraphy artist
- 🇰🇪 Naivasha, Nakuru, Kenya
- The Naivasha Art Collective
- Since 1993
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in calligraphy, sometimes mural painting. My first show was in 1993 at The Naivasha Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I try to remember everyone's name. My studio is always a bit of a mess.

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
