Halima Tabitha Waweru
History and drama teacher, Kampala
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Windsor Public School
- 2013 to 2022
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and nine years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I watch every football match going. Inside it, I played music while people worked.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Halima
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Halima: Any gift will help me keep tutoring for free.

You taught me history in 2021 at Windsor Public School. I still remember the end-of-term party. Truly.
