I've worked in painting and decorating from 2006 to 2019. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 470 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I like to keep things simple and honest.
I'm still learning every day.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Halima: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
