I coached boxing at San Francisco Youth Club from 1992 to 2021. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Gregory
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Gregory: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
