I coached chess at Zapopan Youth Club from 1993 to 2017. Most of my players were between 9 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.
More about Gonzalo
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
