I've coached chess at Bronx Community Club since 1982. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Gloria
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
