Gebre Kassa
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇹 Adama, Oromia, Ethiopia
- 2009 to 2025
- English, Spanish
I've worked in pottery from 2009 to 2025. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 740 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I garden badly but happily.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Gebre
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Gebre: Any gift will help me keep the workshop open for evening lessons.
