Gabriele Birgit Schmitz
Pottery for 28 years in Berlin
- 🇩🇪 Berlin, Berlin, Germany
- Berlin Workshop
- Since 1998
- German
I've worked in pottery since 1998. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 1,620 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Gabriele
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Gabriele: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
