Funmilayo Comfort Oyelaran
Calligraphy artist in Lagos
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Bayview Pottery
- Since 2003
- English, Hausa
I work mostly in calligraphy, sometimes woodcarving. My first show was in 2003 at Bayview Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I take the work seriously, though not myself. My studio is always a bit of a mess.

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
